| min 3.15ct mm varies oval brazilian emerald. the name emerald comes from the greek smaragdos for green stone . except for the rare few they have inclusions that are generally accepted as well as the treatments which are normally listed and should not be a deterrent to purchasing. it has a hardness of 7.5-8 on the mohs' scale and should only be cleaned in ionic cleaners or with warm soapy water and a soft brush. keep away from ultra sonic and steam cleaners. |
